CHESS BOOTCAMP SPRING

Waterloo Chess Academy presents Chess Bootcamp, offering a hands-on experience this spring to build and enhance chess skills through engaging lessons with a professional chess coach!
This program is open to all students from Fergus and Elora, providing an opportunity to develop chess skills and critical thinking in a fun, interactive environment.
Prerequisite: Students should have basic knowledge of chess, including how the pieces move and their values.
In this program, students (ages 6 to 16) will:
• Understand essential tactical motifs
• Dive into basic openings
• Write chess moves and read chess books
• Use a chess clock
• Participate in your first tournament
By the end of this Chess 101 experience, you'll be ready to play with confidence.
